  • Health is a one semester graduation requirement. All 9th grade students will take Health at FVHS. Only students coming in with an impacted schedule are recommended to take Health over the summer.

  • Geometry will be offered for students who have already completed Algebra 1 and have passed the HBUHSD placement exam. Students who complete Geometry over the summer will be required to take the HBUHSD placement exam again to determine placement in Alg 2/Trig or Algebra 2 as a freshman.

  • Algebra Readiness is for students who struggled with math in middle school and need more support before moving into Algebra 1 next year.

  • Mindset for Success is for students who just need more support going into their freshman year. In this class, students will learn study habits, practice mindfulness strategies, and most importantly, get connected to FVHS' campus before starting with us in the Fall.

Ready to sign up? Whether you want to sign up to take summer school at FVHS or through PCHS (info below), you must register using this link:

Students taking summer school @ FVHS will have both breakfast and lunch available to them through the cafeteria.
Not sure you can make in-person summer school this year? Don't worry, incoming FVHS freshman can take Health or Geometry online at Pacific Coast High School (PCHS). Please keep in mind PCHS is a completely online school so students must be prepared to work independently.

Students who wish to take a class at PCHS must ensure they complete both our summer school application (link at the top) and the docusign forms for PCHS. Ms. Wong, our school counselor, will begin the PCHS application for students once they submit our form, but the parent and student must sign and complete the form in order to register for the class. Make sure to regularly check your email so you do not miss any communication.
