Fountain Valley Athletics is thrilled to announce Darin Dunn as our new Head Girls Soccer Coach.
A native of Torrance, Coach Dunn attended North High School where he played soccer for four years, earning 2nd Team All-League honors. Darin went on to attend El Camino College while earning his AA degree. During his second year, he was named 2nd Team All-Conference. Afterward, he transferred to CSU Dominguez Hills, where he played soccer for two more years and earned a Bachelor's Degree in Kinesiology with a Teaching Option.
Coach Dunn continued his education at the University of Washington in Seattle, where he earned a Master's Degree in Education. His coaching journey began immediately at North High School, where he coached boys’ soccer for six years. During his tenure, the team won league championships four times, made two CIF semifinal appearances, and reached the state tournament for the first time in school history.
Coach Dunn then joined the El Camino College soccer program, where he served as an assistant coach for both the men's and women's teams for 10 years. During this time, the men’s team won the league title for the first time in 30 years. He was promoted to Interim Head Coach of the women’s team for two years, leading them to back-to-back playoff appearances for the first time in a decade and a league title for the first time in 20 years. Most recently, Coach Dunn has been assisting with the women’s program at Orange Coast College for the past two years, helping the team secure a playoff spot last season. We are very happy and fortunate to have Coach Dunn join the Baron family!
