FVHS School Parent and Family Engagement Policy
FVHS holds an annual meeting to inform parents of Title 1 students about their rights to be involved in the Title I program at Back to School Night. We also offer a number of after school parent education nights where we will inform parents of graduation requirements and give Title I updates. These nights include: College Knowledge Night in September, FAFSA Workshop in October, the District College Fair in the fall, NCAA Info Session in the spring, Military Info Night in the spring, and Future Seniors Night in April.
Our school has made the opportunity available for all parents, including Title I parents, to get involved with the School Site Council. The School Site Council meets multiple times throughout the year to discuss how Title I funds should be allocated for the future school year.
Our community resource coordinator communicates with parents often through social media, email, and phone to inform them of volunteer opportunities.
