On tight alert

Winter has arrived and with it has come the cold, windy days that would make Winnie the Pooh stay in and eat his honey. So does this mean putting away the cute dresses and shorts you bought when days were warm and sunny? Not on your life.

Why don’t we all face it? California’s winter is nothing compared to that of our fellow states up north, yet we still have our fair share of cold weather. So to stay warm and fashionable at the same time, it’s time to put on those tights. These nylon beauties will keep your legs warm and cozy while still allowing you to wear dresses and look cute. These tights are made to last, so the cost won’t empty out your wallet. That’s all you have to do to update those summer dresses, and by adding a few layers of cardigans or scarves will complete your winter attire. You’ll be more prepared than ever for the chilly days ahead.

Just because it is winter, it does not mean that you have to stick to the dull black, gray, or navy colors. You can brighten things up with the colors of spring. Tights do not only come in black, but they also come in a wide array of colors such as hot pink or cool mint. On websites like www.welovecolors.com, there is a selection of every color imaginable at a great price. On the other hand, you could visit American Apparel, Urban Outfitters, or H&M for some trendy winter wear.

I’ve seen some girls at FV who know how to keep warm and stay stylish in tights. For the rest of you in search of the perfect winter wardrobe, take the hint and put on a good pair of tights!
